System Overview

The Dell PowerEdge T20 tower can help you get organized with a central storage area for your small business or home network environment. It facilitates effective file sharing and collaboration, eliminating duplicate files stored on multiple systems. This mini tower can be used as an email, web, or database server, or for storing your documents, images, and DVD files. With its compact size and whisper-quiet acoustics, you can place this system just about anywhere.

Performance

The PowerEdge T20 features Intel's C226 chipset and supports either a single Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 processor or a single Intel Pentium processor. Depending on your choice, it supports integrated Intel HD Graphics P4600 or Intel HD Graphics 4600. The Xeon E3-1225 v3 processor supports 4K video, while the Pentium processors only support HD video. All three processors support a maximum of three displays. The server is powered by a 290W power supply.

Memory

• Four memory slots support a total of 32GB with 8GB DDR3 unbuffered memory modules.
• Memory operates at speeds of up to 1600MT/s, depending on the processor.

Storage

The T20 server can accommodate up to six hard drives. The chassis includes two 3.5-inch drive cages in the bottom and two additional ones in the top, accessible by removing the front panel. An optional drive cage can be added for two 2.5-inch hard drives. Maximum storage capacity is 13TB using four 3TB 3.5-inch drives and two 500GB 2.5-inch drives. The integrated RAID controller supports disk mirroring and striping; however, hot swap drives are not supported.

Expansion

The server features four expansion slots:
